THE SKINNY: In an interview with the press today, Mary Lynn Rajskub who plays the resourceful Chloe O'Brian (and girl Friday to Jack Bauer) on Fox's 24, spoke about the series finale (airing Monday, May 24 on Fox) and how she feels 24 changed the course of television forever.

Read on to see what she had to say ..

ON THE APPEAL OF CHLOE ...

"She's just a really great charasmatic awesome person, what can I say," says Rajskub, dead pan. "I’ve talked about this before, but she really went from being that annoying person people don’t like to then being someone loyal and relied upon to get the job done. This surprising turn made her compelling and likable"

ON THE LONGEVITY OF THE 24 CONCEPT ...

"It was original, well done and a passionate project," says Rajskub. "If you were around on every level - from the producers, writers, camera crew and Kiefer [Sutherland] - all the key players set the tone and passion to make this concept that could have been a terrible idea. It could have fallen apart, but it’s turned into this wonderful thing. 'Five years in, we have to do this 24-hour concept again and make it fresh.' Viewers can feel that that they’re challenging them. That’s the thing – you know it’s on this time clock and 'how are they going to make it work and fresh again?' which has kept it exciting all this time."

ON 24'S PLACE IN TV HISTORY ...

"It was a ground breaking show in terms of the way it was filmed," she says. "The storytelling raised the bar for that genre of shows – there's nothing like it."

ON SHOOTING THE FINALE ...

"I was nervous in my head about the next job and next paycheck, and when it came to an end, it was all about the crew, the show and missing that experience more than anything," she says. "And that was kind of snuck up on me. It was very emotional."
